The use of thermal waters through modern facilities for treatment and rehabilitation has become a treatment approach that has become more scientifically important and widespread in recent years, all over the world, including our country, with the support of evidence-based research. This situation has enabled the development of thermal health tourism as a sector.


Thermal tourism refers to the movement towards the facilities located for the use of geothermal waters, which are hotter than 20 degrees and contain various minerals, for cleaning, resting and rejuvenation purposes.

Whereas the facilities around thermal water resources can be purely touristic accommodation facilities, they can also focus on health tourism by emphasizing the health theme with their staff and building structure. The effective use of thermal resources necessitates the equipment and operation of the facilities in accordance with current conditions. At the same time, the quality of the service provided largely depends on the quality and quantity of the personnel working.
